We are a group of non-associated young people called "Voluntariado SJ", which was born in May 2013 and it's composed of 16 boys and girls aged between 16 and 17. We are young and very committed to the most disadvantaged people in our community , especially people with disabilities. In our project, titled "Somos europeos, somos solidarios" ("We are Europeans, we are in solidarity") we set as our objective to encourage youth participation in society through local volunteerism, crediting this experience of non-formal learning to improve job prospects, while we promote values ​​of solidarity and social inclusion. The project duration is 8 days, from August 19th to 26th, when a total of 28 participants from organizations "Voluntariado SJ" Gines (Sevilla , Spain ) and the MJC French Voreppe (France) to take out different activities. These include: making a silent short film , discussions , audiovisual presentations , group dynamics , etc. ... The methodology will be highly participatory , both in the same design as in its implementation and evaluation. With this methodology, we combine hands-on learning with more playful aspects , we intend to maximize the impact of the project. About of participants , get arouse feelings that motivate towards social commitment and also see enhanced their chances of employment with the accreditation of the corresponding powers by the program. Long term, the benefits will affect the community, networking with support for associations and other non-profit organizations working with disadvantaged groups, both in Spain and in France.
