The elaboration of a join regional economic cooperation strategy is the main activity of the project, which will be realised through several workshops and in close cooperation with all the stakeholders in the region. The strategy, intended for the 2013-2020 period, will present economic cooperation as a development model and ultimately may lead to an overall increase in the economic activity in the project area. Achievements: Aiming at increasing the competitiveness of the cross-border region and at fi nding new areas for the co-operation of the businesses in the region, the partners in the project worked on a joint development strategy and a business plan for the whole region. Building on the previous good cooperation of the two border counties, the project invited the entrepreneurs in the region to take part in the elaboration of the plan for future joint business eff orts, investments and based the strategy on their inputs.
