The activity of EVS "Solidarity Ties" comes as part of an institution project to promote relations / the solidarity ties between people. Considering the central themes of this project, inclusion, solidarity, social work and cultural dialogue, the contribution of the organization's volunteers to carry out actions in this context, that the organization have physical and human resources to EVS and objectives provided by the European Commission found that this would be an opportunity for the organization, for young volunteers for the sending countries and the general public.The objectives of the project are: to acquire skills, knowledge formal and non-formal; increase the language skills of participants and others involved in the application; promote cultural dialogue, tolerance of difference, equal opportunities, social inclusion and solidarity; promote the creation of networks of international contacts (institutions and individuals); create in participants awareness of citizenship, European identity and opportunities within Europe; develop and qualify the organization's internal services for projects / international applications, creating an International Relations Office.The activity will involve 5 volunteers, three of Lithuania and 2 from Greece, with economic obstacles, including long-term unemployed, young people with cultural differences, especially migrant and / or refugee and social obstacles, namely, people discriminated. According to the activity characteristics of gender is indifferent.The project provides that the Volunteer is participating in the evaluation and adjustment of tasks / activities planned. The skills will be acquired through non formal channels, formal and informal. The main activities considered in planning: participation in the organization and development of cultural activities with the community and with the elderly of the institution's Day Center; Integrating the home support team in development activities to support the elderly; join the team of the Kolping groups, by collecting traditions / biographies using audiovisual media and do their publication in English and in the language of the country of origin of the volunteer; integrate the collection and distribution teams next to families in need; participate in the realization of small works of restoration / reconstruction of dwellings, accompanied by other volunteers with experience in the tasks, particularly in painting and restoration; arrange with the mentor training sessions whose themes fall in the countries of origin of the volunteers; attend as trainees, training activities related to culture and the Portuguese language and other actions in the context of education for global citizenship; have the opportunity to create their own personal design.With the planned activity considered to achieve the following results and impact: increasing formal and non-formal skills, increase digital competencies of volunteers; greater awareness of the problems of others and knowledge of postures and attitudes in solving them; greater employability and better career prospects; better skills at the level of foreign languages, particularly in English and Portuguese; more active participation in society; greater awareness of the European project and EU values; greater motivation to participate in the future in education or training (formal / non-formal) after the mobility period abroad;long-term expected benefits: knowledge and increase the academic success opportunities, personal and professional volunteers, increasing internationalization and empowerment opportunities for people and businesses / organizations; spread the opportunities of the Erasmus program.
