So Act II (Socio-cultural action for European volunteers 2) is the continuation of our project So Act because it is a project that will bring youth and organisations in the world of European projects development at the local level :
So Act II is a project allowing to 8 young volunteers from Turkey, Greece, Italy and Germany to participate in local, regional and European initiatives and missions in France.
We hope through this project to develop the involvement of young people for active citizenship, European citizenship and social issues such as the environment, disability and multicultural exchange with actors from different backgrounds.
This project is also the involvement of youth in socio- cultural animation projects, for children, youth and families in difficulty or by a non-formal learning through the exchange.
We want to allow youth from rural area, particularly in isolated departments of Alpes de Hautes Provence and Var to have an access to mobility. Our partnership work with structures such as youth information centres, missions locales, social centres, and Le Comité du Bassin d’Emploi (CBE) in Barcelonnette that wish to help young people with fewer opportunities to access to mobility.
We also want to develop mobility awareness in rural Var in Sollies -Pont, by hosting a volunteer at the circus school Pitreries in Sollies-Pont, by hosting two volunteers in Léo Lagrange Animation in Solliès-Toucas and in the rural Alpes de Hautes provence in Barcelonnette where CBE will host two volunteers.
Pistes Solidaires Méditerranée has developed in parallel projects related to education for sustainable development. The Citygreeners youth initiative was one of those projects in which Ioannis Makris participated and developed a personal project in cooperation with PSM and do his European Voluntary Service in Marseille in order to continue to develop projects on sustainable development.
This project also works with disability through volunteering Marco Loddo to L’Avi Sourire where his mission is to promote the integration of disabled people through sport and more specifically rowing.
Active volunteers in Pistes Solidaires Méditerranée and CBE will promote mobility programmes in the region and in particular the new Erasmus + through several forums and seminars in the region.
So Act 2 aims to the development of the young volunteers, about creativity and capacity to take initiatives, in order to develop their communication skills, social skills, self-confidence , organisational skills and better use of NICT.
Volunteers will be able to demonstrate the skills they acquired during the EVS experience to look for a job or training.
