The project aims to develop training for international cooperation. A complete training tool-kit with e-learning content will be created focussing on improving the competencies of owners and managers of SMEs to expand their companies through cooperation (establishing networks) both locally and internationally. This transfer of innovation project is based on the results of 4 previous projects particularly the 2004 SMEexcel project (IRL/04/B/F/PP-153218), which focussed primarily on the collaboration needs of companies in a local setting. This project extends the results and impact of SMEexcel by involving new partners from new countries and including web-based IT collaborative tools. Training is facilitated by intermediaries supported by web-based collaborative resources and accredited to national standards. The innovative aspect of the project is emphasized by the application of project-based learning and accelerated learning techniques. The project involves end-users from 3 sectors: electronics, software and services.
