"SMART IT" meets the needs of the beneficiary, "Gheorghe Vranceanu National College ", Bacau, Romania, to increase the quality of career counselling and orientation services for students studying math& computer science. The project will also bring an increase in the European dimension of the college. It aims at an interinstitutional cooperation at a European level in order to support students' orientation towards an IT career, according to their initial training by increasing the quality of the services provided by the college, students’ professional skills, as well as an increase in the attractiveness of the IT domain altogether.O1: Establishing 10 transnational partnerships so as to enhance the international dimension of the organizations, in order to be able to provide services that better meet the needs of the Europeans;O2: Increasing the number of high school students, from math and computer science classes, who consider IT attractive, so as to guide them to an IT career;O3: Developing the knowledge, abilities and IT professional skills of 64 students in a real work environment for 3 weeks.The target gropu is formed of all students from students from all mathematics and computer science 10-11 classes, who are going to get their 'Professional Certification in computer skills ". Students need to be in contact with European labor market , to develop IT professional skills , which will be acknowledged through European instruments, the Europass Mobility.The college will cooperate with four intermediary organizations : two from Spain , one from Cyprus and 1 from Germany , with extensive experience in European projects, which will ensure the placement of participants in 6 internship companies, which meet the vocational training needs of the students. We will select 64 participants through a computer practical test , an interview in English and an application form. Students will benefit from a training programme at the college level, to prepare them for the realization of 4 mobilities in three European countries. They will acquire skills in fourspecific IT areas: "Web - design Gimp and Adobe Dreamweaver , "" Tutorial " and " Java Script”. The internship content is consistent with the high demand from the IT business , which opens doors to many jobs.The end products are: 64 electronic portfolios, 8 web sites created/improved by the participants: 4 for institutions in Bacau , two web sites for 2 projects of our college, the college website and one for Eminenta Pro Vranceanu School Asociation. We will also create 1 "Gallery with 16 tutorials", 2 Optional courses improved with teaching material ("Graphics Processing & Video " and " Programming & web design"), and an E- Brochure with the all the results and the lessons learned in Romanian and English. The project will have a positive impact on the participants, who will gain experience and openness to intercultural communication, by working in a multicultural and multilingual context. In the long run they will improve their performance in extra /curricular activities, will be more efficient and more competitive on the labor market, being trained and motovated to choose IT careers in the country or abroad.The project will have a positive impact on all European partners and on the quality of the projects they implement and they will be promoted at the European level. At school level, the project will enhance the quality of students' initial training, and will make the connection between the school and the European labor market. We will increase the prestige of the school and the project will have a positive impact locally as well by multiplying activities: IT workshops , round tables , debates and " human library "
