In Benissa, a village located between Alicante and Valencia, a group of boys, girls and their leaders will meet this summer for 10 days to develop an exchange focuses on a reflexión about Europe as a place shared for different cultures. The exchange will be in a learning context where the young Europeans can develope their digital skill making a video about Europe, this video will be spreaded by the social media. Young people from EU countries will know the historical cultural heritage of Benissa ( as an important town situated on a crossroads between Alicante and Valencia, by the Mediterranean coast ), one of the oldest towns in the area .
In this town they will live an unforgettable experience, knowing about different people who participate actively in the social life in the context of multiculturalism. They will visit different institutions and participate in several workshops about interculturalism , they also learning how to use digital media and developing their creativity through the team work, creating a video which will be screened on the last day of the exchange.
The fundamental value of this exchange is that young people enjoy the cultural exchange at different levels : understanding the social reality where they are, holding workshops to meet the European reality and work multiculturalism and being protagonists and leaders of the creative act , developing through the team work a video that shows their position and what they expect for the future of Europe and using it as a way of promotion .
It aims to enjoy cultural exchanges in the group and in the comunity, and to make them responsible and creative part, developing the reflexion about the real issues that Europe faced nowadays , communicating the power and the strength of teamwork.
The working methods and the learning methodology will be informal , participatory and experiential, but structured in a program with a known goal.
