''Skills Training for NGO Trainers ''

The 1st meeting will be held with the volunteers in July,the project's aims and the criteria for selection will be explained. - July&August 2015 will be dedicated to the promotion of the project.A link to the project will be given on KOGED website,the project logo will be designed and this logo will be used at all meetings ,the certificates and other documents the project may develop. -There will be the interviews with the candidates in August 2015 .The selection results will be published on the website.A Learning Agreement will be signed by the participants.It is mandatory for the participants to attend the 6-hour seminars per month within a period of 5months.The schedule of the meetings and the seminars will be drawn up by the ‘’Project Management Team’’. The themes of the seminars are: 1 - The civil society’s participation in democracy in Turkey 2 - NGOs, organization and management 3-Communication skills 4-Cooperation with volunteers 5-Budget monitoring and tips for NGOS.It is aimed that the participants will have information about the operating systems of the CSOs in Turkey before they have the opportunity to learn about how their European counterparts operate;this will enable them to compare and contrast the systems.The seminars will be prepared in cooperation with Kocaeli University and the Kocaeli Directorate of NGOs.The participants will be informed about the hosting organisation and its country prior to the mobility activities. We believe that this project will be very useful. Not only will the participants gain information about NGOs in an European country,they will also learn more about how a CSO management should operate and how they can be more efficient in the management participate in the same programmes as mere partners.However,another problem rises as many CSOs do not know how to manage a project lifecycle.KOGED expects to set up an example for other organisations by sharing the gained knowledge in this project with the other CSOs at the Kocaeli CSOs Platform in Izmit. The number of the persons who will be participating in the mobility activities is 15.They will be selected according to a)the length of their work experience at KOGED,a minimum of 3 years,b)their active work in local KOGED activities&events and national&international projects,c)their contribution to the operations of KOGED such as mentoring,training,etc.KOGED Management will have interviews with the candidates in case of a big number of applicants turning up for the project participation.Another prerequisite is the candidates’ linguistic skills in English.At least pre-intermediate level of English and the candidates’ full participation in the local seminars and training activities will be other pre-conditions.Work in other CSOs will be an advantage in an eligible partner’s favour. A project management team will be established for executing the planned project activities. Regular monthly meetings will be held to monitor the progress of the project so that the risks that may occur will be prevented immediately. Here is the summary of the project activities: Project duration is one year.It will commence on the 1 st of July 2015
