PROJECT
FINISHED
The project is based on the European school development plan and the school strategic plan. It is intended to improve the teachers' technological skills, innovation, creativity, and increase the quality of education.
The main idea of the project "Modern education" is that the school staff, willing to provide an effective and modern teaching, must keep themselves interested in innovation and improve their knowledge and skills (ie, learn in a modern way themselves ).
At school, the project of quality management was carried out, which evaluated the school performance and identified areas for improvement: managerial skills, the teaching methodology of a subject, ICT skills, effective communication, and classroom management. Based on these discoveries each member of staff has planned their training topics and activities. A list of training courses abroad, reflecting the needs and priorities of school staff, has been made upon consensus. Fifteen members of staff will be selected to participate in the project and will go to training courses in Slovenia, Italy, Malta, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands.
The main areas for improvement are: improvement of management, expertise of mastering new teaching methods, the use of ICT skills, teaching methodology of a foreign language, effective communication and improvement of group management skills.
Participation in this project will provide an opportunity to see and share experience of other countries in dealing with similar teaching (learning) problems and will help to find new ways of working, raise students' motivation, as well as increase the attractiveness of the school.
The project duration is 12 months.
