The project "Sintautai-Goldap 2" is the second stage of the project LT-PL/020 "Sintautai-Goldap". It aims at improving cross border tourism and cultural infrastructure by establishing two public cultural-recreational parks in Sintautai (Šakiai region, Lithuania) and Grabowo (Goldapski poviat, Poland) to be used for numerous cross border cultural events organised in partner regions as well as strengthening partnership ties between Lithuanian and Polish artists. Expected Results: Organisation of joint summer workshops (sculpture, art and music) and presenting created outputs to the local community and tourists during the park opening events, which will be organised in both towns (it is planned to arrange 1 exhibition and 1 concert in each town and to edit the catalogue of art works created during the workshops; the sculptures created will decorate the established parks). To illustrate the long-lasting historical and cultural relations of the cross border regions, the encyclopedic book about Sintautai and Grabowo will be prepared and edited in Lithuanian and Polish languages. To strengthen future relations, the Sintautai-Goldap association will be established.
