There will be four partners from Poland, Spain, Italy and Georgia.The project "Silesian institutions service quality relative to foreigners" will last for 12 months: from March 2017 till February 2018. The project has it’s place in Katowice and in other bigger cities of Silesia region. this project is going to engage 6 volunteers: 4 from programme and 2 from partner country. who desire to develop their own awareness about civil/human rights, citizen laws and European awareness.The main objective of this project is to improve the quality of activities related to civic engagement, not only in Katowice but also in other cities of the Silesia. Volunteers in their activities, such as monitoring of various places and institutions in the Silesian region and support the local community, they will be able to observe various types of legal or social mechanisms in Poland. They will be able to relate this to their home countries, and thus draw the good and bad practices.The main activity of the project are: 1) Monitoring of City Halls in Silesia. We will focus on both -the substantive quality as well as technical quality in the context of providing public information to foreigners.Monitoring of public institutions in relation to the transfer of public information to foreigners and checking if Poland meet the obligation to comply with civil rights, which are set in the European Convention on Human Rights (Art. 11) and the Polish Constitution (art.61) .Law states that everyone has the right to access to public information, regardless of age, education or nationality, any interested person should get all the documents and informations which he/she need.The volunteers will send a list of requests for pulic information, which will be send by traditional post/e-mails to offices as well as they will make a personal visits.Monitoring of The Tourist Information Centres and local public transport in Silesia (such Institutions are: Komunikacyjny Związek Komunalny Górnośląskiego Okręgu Przemysłowego, Zarząd Tramwajów Śląskich S.A. , Miejski Zakład Komunikacji Tychy czy Przedsiębiorstwo Komunikacji Miejskiej Sp. z o.o. w Jaworznie etc. )Monitoring of Tourist Information Centres, their availability in the Silesia region in each bigger city. Volunteers will check quality of service and information provided, facilitiy of reaching them and accessible to potential customers. With the previously completed projects,we know that it looked very different.. The purpose of these monitoring is to improve the quality of services for foreign tourists as well as the promotion of the Silesia region.After each monitoring, the volunteers will prepare a report which will be sent to a local media and published on the blog, which volunteers will lead2) sharing their impressions about Katowice, Silesia, Poland on the EVS blog, 3) working hand by hand with Receiving Organisation in it’s initiatives which will be offered to the volunteers (office work, meetings and events we organise constantly by Bona Fides like: Dni Organizacji Pozarza˛dowych (NGO’s days), Targi Organizacji (NGO’s Markets), monitoring, meetings with habitants of Katowice - within frames of Community Organizing project, supporting local community citizens, initiatives and many other, 4) cooperate with local media (working on online portal about Katowice: making photos, writing articles about districts of Katowice, history about Katowice), 5) making reaserches about good practices from other countires about cooperation between citizens and local gonverment. 6) Promotion and PR activities in frame of promotion the associations, the idea of volunteering and Erasmus + Programme7) Using the method of community organizing with staff Bona Fides, support workers activities and their cooperation with local residents.
