"Silent Disco" is a creative youth exchange project about employment in arts and culture. 22 young people from Latvia and Croatia aged from 18-30 and interested in music production will come together in Riga where during 10 day exchange by using methods of informal learning they will crate their music portfolio, learn cultural differences, discuss and share their experience in music production, deejaying and creative activities. Participants of the project will take part in discussions, workshops, research activities, work in groups and public presentation of their works. During the creative process in mixed groups participants will produce their promo music and present it to wider audience by using wireless headphones and transmitter. After the project music will be available on Internet for free download and used as examples of good practice in future projects of both organizations and in learning process in Riga School of DJs.The aim of the project is to promote youth employment in arts and culture as well as to encourage participants and society to think about using digital competences for creative objectives by choosing music production as a main method in this project – creative and potentially innovative activity that needs cooperation among involved participants starting from generating idea till the final product and it's public presentation.As an organized creative initiative and self expression this project promotes informal learning among young people and gives consciousness about belonging to European music makers and young people of Europe in general. Project will help to reveal that creative objectives and career of every young European can be realized here and now with sequelin future.
