The project is aimed at 20 students and graduates of the 1st EPAL of Metsovo (IT and Economics Management disciplines). The school's students are mostly children from low income, whose families are active in the region. They were oriented to technical-vocational education both because of their inability to meet the demands of general high school and because of their desire to obtain from EPAL a formal qualification, but also an important asset to enter directly into the labor market. This project is directly related to the subject of their specialization, as it’s relevant with the integrated management information systems. These systems, despite the solutions offered in a company, to be effective, require proper training of their users. The main objective of the program is to familiarize students with the software packages, which are valuable in many firms which are required to process increasing amounts of data in a short time, and the acquisition of significant work experience through the participants' placement in tourism enterprises in the host country that applies to their production process, information systems. The main purpose of our proposed project is to gain work experience through placement of participants in companies implementing modern information systems in their production and other business processes. The group of 20 participants will be divided before the start of the period of mobility into five sub-groups of four people each. In each sub-group will be set a manager (mentor) from the hosting institution who will supervise the placement of people from the sub-group in companies, and be in daily contact with both these companies and the host but also with the attendants of our school’s mission. For the needs of the project and to carry out the work experience period the EGInA Srls host institution is responsible and is committed to find companies that applies modern information systems in their processes. The firms will be from the tourism industry. Each sub-group will hold its mobility period (placement) in all five companies ie all sub-groups will go through all businesses (cyclic process), process that will result in the acquisition of experience in different sectors and companies of different structure and activity. The placement period of the participants is set at two weeks (ten working days). We expect that the participants, as they already have a very good theoretical background in computer science and economics-management, will be provided with a new, unique and very useful experience, that in the future will be applied in their workplace. Therefore, initially we aim to enrich the pupils' experiences going beyond the narrow school environment. The acquisition of European experience, the internship (placement) in enterprises in Italy will be something new for them and a prime target. Last but not least, important objective is certification of their learning outcomes. At the same basis, is expected to be a further future cooperation with educational institutions that offer training beyond the school boundaries. It will undoubtedly, ensure the diffusion of experience and knowledge for those who are not selected to participate in the program. This can be done not only for the students of the school, but generally for the local community, where many professionals are active and will be able to use anything new that boosts their businesses.
