Sharing & Learning & Improving: Youth peers
Start date: Dec 1, 2011,

The Seminar "Sharing & Learning & Improving: Youth peers for Human Rights Education in Action" is following the development of an 2009 started project line by our association “Mreža” which was dedicated to the promotion of peer education in different fields of youth work, especially in the field of Human Rights Education (HRE). Following this development the current project is dedicated to the discussion of working experiences and strategies of NGOs from programme countries and neighbouring partner countries from SEE in their work with youth within the field of HRE (Human Rights Education). The seminar is used to reflect approaches, concepts and concrete tools in HRE (Human Rights Education) activities based on non-formal education with a special focus on those projects and activities which are based on initiatives of peers and peer educators. The seminar will provide the occasion to share experiences, to foster sustainable and equivalent partnerships, to support capacity building, to contribute towards inventive peer projects by exploring new working methods and strategies, to improve the quality of future peer projects and to develop further peer projects, based on participants’ past experiences and partnership building during the seminar. Further the planned seminar will provide space for debate, for individual and group reflection, and encourage exchange of best practices. The debriefings of the common work and the achieved results will be accompanied by theoretical inputs and presentations that will complement the outcomes of the common work, helping to create the theoretical and practical framework in which participants will reflect upon existing examples of peer projects in HRE. The project will take place in Teslic, Bosnia-Herzegovina, 09.-17.03.2012 with the support of project promoters from programme countries and neighbouring partner countries from South Eastern Europe.
