Sensibilisation à l'environnement dans le Territoire de Belfort, appui à la coopération décentralisée franco-allemande et initiation à l'Europe

Context:
CG90 wants to develop tools for international mobility of young people and has been accredited EVS. The aim is to enable young people to be confronted with others realities while carrying out activities of general interest.
Objectives:
- support awareness actions regarding environment
- provide a different perspective on the policy of sustainable development (SD) of CG90
- support decentralized cooperation projects between the Landkreis Harz and CG90
- participate in educating young people of the Territory of Belfort to Europe.
Duration: 12 months (September 2014-August 2015)

Theme: environmental awareness, sustainable development, decentralized cooperation and European citizenship
Volunteer activities:
- Activity 1: environmental awareness:
- support and propose interventions for the public hosted in Malsaucy (nautical base and Environment House - MDE), on environmental issues. This will include for example offering activities on environment to pupils of 10-11 years old, during their integration stay in Malsaucy (2.5 days)
- propose tools on environmental awareness for the larger public of the nautical base of Malsaucy
Activity 2: sharing european pratices :
- searching about european pratices, and particularly German of sustainable development, .
- provide tools for sustainable development awareness among various audiences (pupils in secondary school, CG90 staff, etc..)
Activity 3: Support for decentralized cooperation between Territoire de Belfort and Landkreis Harz and awareness to Europe:
- support for Franco-German youth projects implemented in the Territoire de Belfort. The volunteer will bring his/her view of young German and create a dialogue between German and French young people.
- support services of CD90 in the development of a partnership with the Landkreis Harz on sustainable development.
- awareness to Europe for different audiences. Starting from his/her own culture, the volunteer will present Europe and its challenges
Methodology: The volunteer will be supervised by various workers of CD90 (depending to the activity). He/she will build his action plan in collaboration with workers that surround him/her. He/she will be force of proposal (to use his/her initiative and creativity).
Impact and expected results:
The volunteer, the staff of CD90 and target audiences will be impacted by this international openness, allowing everyone to confront his worldview with other people. It will be a rewarding experience for everyone.
The results will be:
- tools of environmental awareness and Europe,
- a better understanding of sustainable development practices of CG90 and Landkreis Harz,
- closer links between firstly structures Belfort, and other structures involved in the collaboration between the Harz and Territoire de Belfort.
Potential long-term benefits:
- strengthen Franco-German fraternal relations
- strengthen SD policies in Germany and France
- allow citizens (and future citizens) to be aware of Europe and european citizenship.
