As the new draft Sector Skills Agreement Survey (September 2005) shows, it is necessary to increase the levels of training undertaken in SMEs in the textile industry in Europe in order to increase competitiveness and keep the workforce abreast of the latest technological and process developements. The present project aims to develop a new Internet-Based European wide learning tool to support workers in textile production and garment technologies. This will be done by developing a fully interactive training tools based on previous materials using CD ROMs, providing the theory and technical support for modern practices, maping textile and clothes qualifications and integrating health and safety and risk management issues.
