The project addresses the issue of the teaching of scientific contents to blind people or people suffering from severe visual disabilities. Taking in consideration the specificities of scientific contents, with a high use of diagrams and complex text streams and using Chemistry as a particular subject for this initiative, the project targets blind and disabled students, educators of blind and disabled people and software developers and aims at developing a software framework to facilitate the teaching of such contents. The software will be accompanied by specific framework documentation, end user documentation and tutorials, results of the software testing by the target group and methodology guides.
