PROJECT
FINISHED
Project background:
It's been a year now that we see the Franz-von-Lenbach-Schule under new management.
All teachers find themselves in team groups headed by additional deputy teachers endowed with administrative tasks.
The continuity of Comenius projects is to be upheld in the future. Therefore a new Erasmus+team has to urgently be formed and set up.
Our school development is based on defining new goals to be achieved in future time periods to come.
These are, among others, the introduction of an all-day school as well as the use of modern media technologies and better assessment scales.
Students and teachers spend a considerable amount of time at school, which makes it compulsory that our school be a comfortable place.
Future tasks:
Getting the quality and the development of our school further ahead is one of our primary tasks.
Coaching and meditation techniques shall contribute to a positive working atmosphere. Feeling committed tot he European spirit, new teachers in charge of the project can provide us with newly-woven contacts all over the continent. School equipment (whiteboards, tablets) should be used sensibly in ordert o achieve results in education, didactically speaking.
Partcipants:
Seven staff members teaching different subjects, including one member of the school management, can take part in structured further education courses. Due to the participation in different courses all teachers will be well-informed by exchanging their knowledge. They all have some years of teaching experience and are involved in school developement and/or European projects..
Activities:
Having chosen six variably structured teacher courses, we will be given the opportunity to improve our studying and learning conditions. This involves the teaching of new methods, language courses, intercultural communication skills and professional school management training. In addition to that we should aim at improving the European school development, teamwise speaking.
Project coordination:
The school management coordinates the project aided by the responsible teacher. Thus we can take it for granted that all the participants are thoroughly prepared and the project results are clearly evaluated.
If need be, improvement measures can be brought about by either internal or external evaluation.
Conclusion and long-term prospects:
With our being connected to colleagues from all over Europe one can establish a sustainable network of schools when it comes to school projects, exchanges and etwinning projects.
This European dimension will have an impact on our school and make students‘ enrolment figures rise.
Comparing and sharing experiences with our European colleagues and headmasters can alleviate the introduction of an all-day school more effectively.
A clear and undeniable asset will definitely be a more positive communication for all participants in the long run.
Generally, this will lead to a better understanding for secondary school headmasters in terms of internal, regioanal and state-based skill enhancement offers. The output will be a structured network within the Bavarian secondary school system.
The path has been placed before our eyes. The choice to take it is ours alone.
