SCHOOL STILL PLAYS

The SCHOOL STILL PLAYS project aims to prevent and reduce school dropout with a specific focus on enhancing the life skills of the students and with the involvement of policy-makers and policy-implementers. The main activities of the project involve: • transfer of methodologies and effective tools to bring out recommendations useful to combat the phenomenon of school dropout; • experimentation and improvement of guidance services at all levels of education; • experimentation and improvement of mentoring services and counselling through the strengthening of local partnership networks in education and training; • experimentation of training paths for school teachers; • contribution to the redesign of school curricula with regard to life skills by testing non-formal methods of education; • development of models for intervention for preventing early school leaving to be replicated and exploited; • development of a system for monitoring and evaluation of the achieved results;Expected impacts:• Involvement of schools in training courses that focus on teaching of emotions and experimenting methods and tools for its implementation (120 educators / teachers / school leaders) • Development of a training curriculum for enhancement the life skills of students and prevention of youth drop-outs (300 students at various levels of education) • Building a network through the adoption of arrangements and agreements between the project partners and regional educational institutions, universities, Associations of enterprises, Labour Associations, Municipalities (15 regional institutions in any countries)
