The students will travel for two weeks in Augsburg, Bavaria, welcomed by local Kochclub and Berufsschule II ( Vocational Institute ) . During the first week they will become accustomed to the German dual education system , will go to work in hotels and restaurants which have an agreement with school ; the activities will be crowned with the preparation of a meal . The second week will be devoted to better understand the area in which the school is located . We will visit companies in the field of gastronomy , but also surrounding cities . Again the activities will end up with the preparation of a common diningThe participants in the are project mainly students in the fourth grade of education ( 17-18 years), selected for interest, academic performance and the seriousness shown during the internship in Italy .Given that hotels and restaurants in our area have a wide clientele coming from the German-speaking countries , it is appropriate that the guys who want to work in the industry known the reality from which these customers are from, some features of the hotel industry and catering in those countries , that are confronted with a language that for the moment they only know at school level and which they study and practice just a few hours per week.The purpose of the project is to familiarize students with the hotel 's professional world of work and the culture in another EU country. We expect an improvement of language skills, a widening of horizons both to work in Italy and for a possible job abroad , the learning some techniques or ways of working typical Germans, the establishment of contacts between young Italians and Germans with similar professional opportunities , the acquisition of professional knowledge related to the education system in Germany and some news on major German cities.A partnership of the Kochclub and Berufsschule Augsburg, if carried out over the years, will also help to improve the receptivity of the Val d'Elsa in reference to the German-speaking customers .We also intend to jointly participate in international competitions and we do not exclude other common activities .The German students are expected to be in Italy, Castelfiorentino (FI ) at the end of October 2016 , the Italian ones will travel to Germany , Augsburg (Bavaria) at the end of February 2017.
