Salonta-Sarkad Cross-border disaster prevention (SalSaPrev)

The aim of this project is to enlarge the long-term partnership between the two twin-cities in a new area: the disaster prevention. This cooperation provides a frame not only for the mobilization of one's own resources and equipments, but also for complementary and reciprocal collaboration between the two cities regarding the initiation and the implementation of the necessary rescue operations.General objectiveImprovement of the institutional capacity to prevent and coordinate the management system for emergency situations.Specific objectives:1. Volunteers training on the prevention of emergency situations.2. Proper information of the target group about the project activities.3. Improving services through the purchase of equipment.The main activities of the project are: 3. Joint Disaster Prevention (trainings and courses for 40 volunteers) and acquisition of prevention equipment.The target group is formed by: 40 volunteers, children of the schools of the two cities and local population who will participate at conferences and workshops. Among the project results: 40 people trained, 1 joint emergency plan elaborated, 2 trainings, 19 equipment purchased
