"Sailing Through Cultures" is the Erasmus+ Key Action 1 Project - Youth Exchange aiming to raise awareness on open dialogue, inter-cultural understanding, human rights, mutual respect and acceptance of diversity between young people in Europe. We would like to empower European youth, by enabling them to raise their cultural awarenesses through a mix of methods of Non-formal learning and using different tools for learning and sharing information. By this Youth Exchange we provide space and time to our participants to share their life stories and experiences to enhance their mutual understanding, better inter cultural communications, networking, and friendship.Project objectives are:- to learn about problems that young refugees are facing nowadays- to identify the opinions of youngsters from different countries are regarding migrants best practice in integration and inclusion of migrants- to counter the emergence of negative portrayal of migrants and migration in media by meeting and sharing information with young refugees - to develop future projects ideas for young migrants using Erasmus+ Programme opportunitiesThe project addresses issues and needs linked with cultural diversity, human rights, migration and inclusion. The foundation of the project is inter-cultural learning and hereby improving the image of migration and migrants among young people and to promote inclusion and integration leading to greater social cohesion in European countries. Thus by meeting different stakeholders dealing with this issue, we will try to eliminate the misunderstanding and confusion regarding the refugee crisis which is cause by sometimes, lack of communication, clear information or ignorance. Nevertheless there is a significant rate of 18-25 year old youngsters among asylum seekers who are eager to get in touch with local or international peers to share ideas, cultures, spay some sports and just spend some times together to become friends. This are the core need that we will try to address with this Youth Exchange. Moreover, by interacting and inviting asylum seekers in our program, we aim to learn directly from them about their foreign culture, norms and values.
