Title of the project: Safe and sound school The partner schools have agreed to focus on two major issues, which we believe are causing difficulty for most of our students and, implicitely, teachers.1. The socio-economic background exerts great influence on pupils’ motivation and willingness to obtain medium or higher level education. However different this background may be, we have found many similarities among the problems that our pupils have to face, for example they are under-motivated regardless of their family’s status. 2. The growing impact of the media and modern technology have also brought about new patterns of behaviour which are causing further trouble among pupils. We are looking for ways of coping with phenomena such as bullying, both mental and physical.
