Robotik
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

Project Background: At CCS we have always been know as a school with an international profile. Therefore, it seemed a natural direction to try and work in cooperation with other schools using the Erasmus + as a framework. Having already started a programme based on the raspberry pi computer (that teaches children to build their own computer, and learn how to code), it seemed a natural fit to combine this in the field of robotics. Especially, when one considers that Denmark is the home of Lego. Objectives Whilst we have a good starting point with raspberry pi project, our knowledge of robotics is limited. It is our hope that through this project we will develop the skills, and knowledge, necessary to make this an integral part of our curriculum. Furthermore, the opportunity to work with other schools, from other countries, will foster the kind of cultural exchange that fits to our school’s philosophy. Participants. From within our school there will be two teachers; one with considerable experience in earlier Erasmus + projects, and another who is keen to be involved in international projects. The science department, in conjunction with the maths department, and the school leader will also form an integral part. Activities Job shadowing Sharing good practice with international partners. Lego League Training course in Portugal. Description of the results and impact Increase our knowledge of robotics. Enhance our cultural understanding of other countries, and in particular other countries’ methodology in relation to teaching. New contacts, and development of a network. Enhancement of work through cross-curricular work, using robotics as the cornerstone. Increase the school’s profile within the community. Increase awareness of the Erasmus + project to other schools in Denmark.
