The main objective of this project is to improve the accessibility and optimize the organization of the traffic in BG-GR border region through rehabilitation of its roads infrastructure. Through the planned project activities the project will contribute to the improvement of the conditions for residents and to the economic development of the area. In the long term, by improving the access to road infrastructure an increase in the activity of economic sector in the region as a whole is also expected. Expected Results: The expected results of the project are: 1. Improvement of the road Kenana-Hanche Klokotnica as a part of BG-GR cross-border region. 2. Partnership between BG and GR Municipalities in the sphere of modern infrastructure development and youth initiatives on traffic rules in BG-GR border region. The project results provide added value to the programme area in several aspects: economic, cultural, social, with tourist-oriented and European-oriented development.
