"September in Poznan without Researchers’ Night? It’s just hard to imagine!Discover once again your Passion for Research - become a Researcher for a Night!Create your own robot, isolate DNA of kiwi fruit, make jewelry of computer elements and calculate age of trees. All these and even more at four different venues in Poznan waiting for you to join and reveal the real face of Polish research.Still thinking that researcher is a person who lives in his own world and has no other interest? Come and see our researchers sharing with you their hobbies and passions! You will meet a physician who is a poems writer, economist who writes cartoons, electroengineer who is a horse enthusiast.RESNIGHT is a continuation of the Researchers’ Night projects of the past three years, which were highly successful. These events became an important element of promoting Poznan researchers’ image and there is a strong demand from the public to participate in them again. The project builds on last years’ experiences and aims at further bringing closer researchers and public to one another and encouraging more young people to embark on careers in science by changing the image of the researchers in the society. This year a special focus is put on revealing researchers’ hobbies, passions, dreams and hopes in order to show their real human faces everybody could identify with. Researchers will be the stars of the Night, playing the role of guides, animators but also common people living next door.Improvements will be brought compared to the previous Nights -a more effective awareness campaign will be conducted as to reach higher audience and new means of impact assessment will be introduced.A blend of different activities: hands-on experiments, interactive games, discussions in science cafes – all in a joyful and easy-going atmosphere will create an event that is warmly expected by the society and will surely compete with other Friday-night attractions."
