Retailing Management for Adults in Lifelong Learning - RetAiL

This project is targeted at adults working in retailing who have little formal education. These are workers, who in an increasingly globalised market, need to both enhance their education and develop their interpersonal capabilities. by facilitating their access to lifelong learning, the RetAiL study material gives them the opportunity to develop and formalise their education, while enhancing their sense of personal fulfilment.The aim of the project was to transfer and implement an existing written material for teaching retailing management into an ICT-based learning material based on modules for open learning environment targeted for adult learners. Thus the group working in retail management without much formal education will be able to add to its knowledge and skills while still being on the labour market. This added access to ITC-based lifelong learning will lead to added knowledge in the field of vocational training in retail and will add to the growth and employment rates in a field, where the turnover in manpower is very high.
