This projects concerns repair works to Ali Hilmi property on Pindos Street to house the House of Cyprus yannos Kranidiotis. This property was built in the first decade of the 20th century by the Egyptian Ali Hilmi Pasha. The building is in a relatively good condition and will therefore require minor repairs work, particularly to wall coating and its roof, and all necessary electromechanical equipment. At the same time, it is envisaged to carry works on the area around the building and enhance the property. Expected Results: The House of Cyprus will be an ideal venue to promote the Cypriot Culture and will bring citizens and visitors to Rhodes in contact with the cultural tradition of Cyprus. The area will be suitably arranged so that it may host arts exhibitions and cultural events aimed to strengthen the ties between the citizens of Cyprus and Rhodes. It is envisaged to house a permanent paintings exhibition composed of the works of Cypriot artists, currently located in the Municipal Gallery of Rhodes founded by memorable Andreas Ioannou, a former prefect of the Dodecannese of Cypriot descent.
