The 'Recognition of Qualification' project will develop a system for the mutual recognition of managerial skills and qualifications in the European construction industry.Building upon the results of a previously funded Leonardo da Vinci project (Development of New Types of Studies and courses in the Field of Management in Construction for Engineers according to Requirements of the European Union) a number of activities are planned, to include: discussion and acceptance, amongst an extended group of partners, as regards the final structure of managerial knowledge in construction; creation of a guidebook for the comparability of all components for accreditation and certification in the form of curricula-qualification modules; comparative analysis of curricula, education methods and certification requirements in selected EU countries and the creation of uniform certification criteria of managerial qualifications in the sector.End products will comprise: a certification system on construction managers in the partner countries, an accreditation system of existing courses and studies, a specific training module aimed at levelling out any differences in levels of training and a further MBA level module to improve upon existing skills (all to be produced in EN, PL & PT).Methodology will be produced by the project as regards the use of modern training methods (open and distance learning) and continuous training in the sector.Project results are expected to be influential in enhancing the opportunities for mobility between the EU and the associated countries. Results will be presented via conferences, seminars and publications in each of the involved partner countries.
