Recipe of Employment
Start date: May 1, 2015, End date: Apr 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

This project was the result of a previous youth exchange focusing on healthy lifestyles where we identified that there is a possibility and a great need to help young people find employment in this field. The partners of the project worked on the idea in more detail and also included partners from other countries to enrich the project outcomes. The idea of the project was to promote healthy lifestyle and try to find employment opportunities in these industries and fields. Many young people today either study in the humanity fields (such as psychologists, social workers, lawyers, teachers etc). So what happens with the other practical fields of studies? Many opportunities that arise from the new Erasmus + programme is job shadowing and internships. This youth mobility project will enhance and give the chance to youth to elaborate on different jobs. The project though will include traditional element such as how nutrition (traditional foods) can be a tool for employment (entrepreneurship through the food industry) and at the same time all country participants can “make” a business from food. Food is considered to be the only industry today that has a promising stability in economy because it does not change form. (For example some jobs were diminished because of technology and mechanical advancement). The project addressed youth unemployment with a focus on creating jobs in the food industry and more specifically looking at the food industries that promote a healthy lifestyle and also promote local and traditional food. The main issues that covered during the project were dealing with youth unemployment and helping young people to establish careers and new jobs in the culinary fields. Healthy lifestyles was also covered in this project in trying to promote a healthy lifestyle and healthy dietary choices by youth. The project created greater awareness of how we can take trends, customs, traditions and health and turn it into either a business idea or a new job, how young people who are health conscious can turn this knowledge into a job, to help others and to make an income at the same time. We looked at the importance of promoting healthy lifestyle, and especially healthy choices so that we can life healthier happier lives.
