EU strategy ( Education & Training 2020 ) and European Comission educational policy document "The Key Competences for Lifelong Learning ? A European Framework" mention the necessity to develop competencies of entrepreneurship and initiative. The strategy of organizations involved in our national consortium (associations "European Educational Circle", "Diversity in Education " and Latvia Language Teacher Association ) gives priority to the diversification of services (as NGOs we provide initiatives in different areas of social, economic and cultural development, and activities aiming to support our beneficiaries ideas, needs and interest); the increment of the team capacity to face and defy social and economic problems and obstacles; the promotion of entrepreneurship and creativity (in general as attitude, and specifically in terms of personal, social and economic entrepreneurship), employability, self-employment, and small business creation support; and networking: the establishment and development of stable networks of cooperation, at national, but, as a matter of priority, at European level. The objective of the project "Unleashing Creative Spark" was to provide to our staff the opportunity to participate in a European mobility programme to improve their knowledge through the participation in a training to learn and apply experiential and participatory methodologies to assess and stimulate entrepreneurial skills and creativity. Three persons from our adult education staff, namely mediators, facilitators, trainers, and decision makers, involved in entrepreneurship teaching/learning, stimulation, and development participated in the mobility. To develop their competencies of promoting entreprenurship and creativity three adult educators Vita Kalnb?rzi?a, Mud?te Reigase and M?ra Dirba participated in the courses on using experiential learning methodology for promoting entrepreneurship and creativity in Cuba, Portugal. There were lectures and workshops as well as excursions to Columbus museum, to cultural and historical centre of the region Evora (with Evora University). At the end of this learning project, the participants are able: > To apply knowledge in the implementation of initiatives and programmes for combating unemployment and stimulate entrepreneurial attitude and creativity; > To disseminate and replicate learned methodology and tools and adapt it to particular action context; > To understand the importance of non-formal education, experiential learning and outdoor activities for self-learning and self-development; > To identify, recognise and promote personal and professional skills and group skills; > To improve self-knowledge and self-esteem; > To implement education for entrepreneurial competences and creativity in their adult learning organizations; > To facilitate training sessions/classes using participatory methodologies and tools; > To use outdoor activities as pedagogical tools to develop personal and relational skills and to increase group cohesion (teambuilding). In order to implement the project, we develop activities of project management, promotion and communication, identification and mobilisation of participants, preparation and implementation of the mobility as well as conducting the evaluation and monitoring of the activity and the follow up of the project. At the end of the project, the competences and skills of the participants related with the assessment of entrepreneurial skills through experiential learning and outdoor activities were improved. The participants are using their new competences with their target groups, namely, adults, applying new approaches to stimulate and assess entrepreneurial skills and creativity, by using experiential learning and participatory leadership methodologies.
