PROJECT
FINISHED
Action and actors:
Under the name of QUAMELYA (which stands for “ECVET Quality for placements in Green VETschools”), the present KA1 application deals with a 24monthes’group-project asking for mobility grants into Europe, for a-at least 330 learners (pupils in green VET schools) a 28 days for practice internship which is included in their curriculum and their study program, and b- about 50 of their teachers divided in 3 types. The Saint Herblain EPLEFPA (=school) which is certified since 2010 is leading this project, with help of France EUROPEA association, set in the premises, both having experience and deep commitment in reaching the aims of the project: upbringing QUALITY in each of its activities around these mobilities, as well as in the double experimentation of the project.
Background and Objectives::
Leaders of this new QUAMELYA project aim to upgrade quality in placements, for learners and for “all” teachers, thanks to the use of ECVET system and to the learning outcomes from numerous previous projects, the last one already promoting progressive knowledge of ECVET: as teachers involved in this MOVEA+ project demanded mobility grants for themselves, QUAMELYA project is now aiming to offer them either a-10X14days working placement to vocational teachers, providing their specific approach to the project steering committee, b- 40X4 days educational support grants for teaching staff, conducting the project in school or in region, c-5X28days mobility of for teachers “going with” the youngest pupils, this little and exceptional experience will benefit to all.
The objectives are, for the QUAMELYA project, the same than the last one: providing to the trainee’s mobility a recognized quality (Europass Mobility), validated by -more or less formalized- partnership agreements, certification remaining a goal… due to French texts we have now. Furthermore, a double experimentation will: 1/issue a “home made “QUAMELYA certificate…, 2/ test the outputs of experimental shared certification on the one and only possible part of curricula with a specific module of the agricultural education :
Acitivities and Methods :
A new, more formalized instance, the QUAMELYA multi-actors steering committee will: 1/ follow the progresses, step by step, from launching the project to the final reports; 2/ organize , animate, and report on the 10 working seminars (JTPER) which punctuate the project, -seminars are shown into an on-going schedule, with each partner designed with its own colour code-, 3/ ensure the good cohesion between partners as well as the collaborative methodology in shared works, 4/ follow and verify the quality of the activities and productions, up to the final step: collating and analyzing the outcomes to make the final report, then: 5/ disseminate benefits among French & European partners and National authorities involved in the project.
Outcomes and impacts:
Focused on the learner, the very main actor of the project, each mobility (pupil/staff) is prepared by an educational team which, via steering committee, has developed specific tools (a self evaluation grid of the benefits), the learner draws basis of his/her success, defines himself the learnings he aims to get/increase and the reached results before assessing them through known frames: Europass, Mobility Tool, ECVET items.
Educational teams and every partner will learn about the validation of these improvements within the ECVET framework. All are aware and will have known a concrete approach of this European methodology making qualifications more transparent.
Furthermore, various potential outcomes will/can benefit:
- Every partner will have a concrete experience of ECVET at least about informal educational outcomes gained by the trainees involved in the project
- Complete staffs in schools implied in the project, administrators and professional partners, pupils involved with their families …
- Each member of the France EUROPEA association will know about the project, objectives, experiences and outcomes which are presented in each meeting and published on website…
- Formal teachers and National administration from Educational Department of Agricultural Ministry which are involved in ECVET implementation, i.e. via specific Workshops, sharing experiences led by some pioneers/actors within such projects…
Dissemination :
In addition to the shared experience lived regularly within the Association and throughout the project, the objectives, outcomes and impacts are introduced to the 102 school members, at each meeting of the association, at least 4 times a year, and published on the promotor website, headquarters of the Association, connected to the 24 others EUROPEA.
