PROJECT
FINISHED
Since our students have been participating in EU mobility programs for years and therefore were able to gain valuable experience, improve their language skills and were able to expand job-specific skills , we want to motivate our teachers to do the same.
As a result our long-term aim is it that it will become a matter of course for our colleagues to participate in further education both at home and especially abroad. Against the background of a world that is in constant exchange through modern means of communication, it is particularly important to promote foreign language skills in every aspect. These are also at the centre of this project.
In a first step we sent one of our staff members, who teaches English at our school, to a language course abroad. In order to promote the creativity of our students at our college for future nursery school teachers, she attended a a seminar focussing on drama techniques for creative language teaching. The course was hosted by Pilgrims English Language Courses, a company with years of experience in the field of training teachers of English as a foreign language around the world. The course took place at the University of Canterbury.
All in all, we hope to increase our quality in language teaching both in the area of language proficiency as well as in the field of creative language teaching. In addition, we hope to be able to attract more colleagues in our school to participate in further education activities within the framework of the Erasmus+ program.
