Qualifications for third milenium in electrical engineering
Start date: Sep 1, 2016, End date: Aug 31, 2019 PROJECT  FINISHED

Context of the project is based on cross-sectoral cooperation. It reacts to a newly emerging need that arose from the development of new technologies in the field of electromobility and smart grids and the need to reflect it and respond to it even in the education field. The objective of the project is to define and describe 5 education modules concerning electromobility and smart grids, education materials in electronic form, e-learning courses and education units will be created as well. These modules will be designed to ensure comparability of education in the field of power industry within the whole EU. The pilot verification of the elaborate modules will also be carried out during the project. Participants of a module will be given a Europass, proving their competence and mastery in respective modules. The modules which will be designed are following: 1) The mechanic of the charging stations. 2) The repair. The partnership includes 8 partner organizations from five countries – The Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Spain and Italy. All partners are highly experienced both in successful implementation and management of projects and in providing or assuring quality vocational education. Most relevant successfully realized projects were listed in the application. However, it is important to mention and emphasize two related projects successful in a longer term. The first, EURCERT, dealt with initial education in electrical engineering, and the second, CETRAEL, dealt with new technologies in the field of renewable resources. The currently submitted project is a next step in education field reflecting the development of new technologies introduced in the power industry. The target groups of the project are students of vocational schools, electrical engineering and technical secondary school graduates and people who have already been working in electrical engineering and power industrial enterprises, as well as companies cooperating with the power industry which aim to increase their professional knowledge and competence. In addition, the target groups of immigrants, who have already gained language education and general training, will be involved in the project on the German partner side. It is expected that all participants will increase their expertise and mastery in the respective fields which is true for the individual persons as well as for the whole participating organizations. They will serve as testing centers. Individual persons from the target groups, who will take part in the pilot verification, will raise their competences, expertise and experience and increase their chances on the labour market. In a long term, the project will contribute to comparability of education in electromobility and smart grids within the whole EU. E-learning courses will enable the wider public to participate in this education across Europe. At the national level the project results are expected to be used immediately after testing. After completing the project, the creation of a group, composed of representatives of the implementing team that will continue to monitor the objectives of the project, is expected. This group will negotiate with competent authorities to have the educational units included into the system of profession qualifications. There will also be efforts to present the project abroad so that it can be followed-up on in other Erasmus+ projects. Five regional conferences will take place in five partner countries presenting the project’s results. Partners will also present at the conference the way the pilot verification will be conducted. The selected persons interested in the pilot verification, social partners’ representatives and employers, experts in the field of electrical engineering, power industry and vocational education and representatives of regional media will be encouraged to take part in the conference. At the end of the project, final conference will take place in Prague to present all project outputs and findings and the results of pilot verification to wider expert public. There will be an constant communication among partners and permanent control of all partial outputs in order to secure the quality of the project. The project budget is compiled in accordance with the methodology of the Erasmus+ programme.
