PROJECT
FINISHED
In the context of the program "Erasmus+", KA1 – Educational mobility of staff in the school education, and together with the priorities of the European Union, 2 SOU “Aкad. Emiliyan Stanev” created the project named “The travelling digital classroom of the 21 century – science, literature and technology”. The project aims at achieving the required mobility of the technologies in the 21 century – the computer cabinet is actually where it’s needed, rather than in a certain classroom. For that reason our teachers and members of the staff made management and cutting-edge technology their main priority in the methods of teaching in 2 SOU.
According to the strategy of the Ministry of Education and Science in Bulgaria for the development of information and communication technologies in education by 2020, and our participation in the planned project mobility, our school will be prepared for the three main stages: short-term stage – “Key investments”, mid-term stage – “Mobility and Security” and long-term stage – “Universality and Durability”.
The multiplication of the experience gained from the mobilities will develop highly qualified key competencies in our staff.
These participants are teachers of Science, Foreign languages and Literature, who trained in using foreign languages, innovative approaches, methods, techniques and tools in the classroom, will open the school education in 2nd SOU to Europe and the world. Thus our students will be given equal opportunities with their peers from other European countries. In this way they will have the chance more effectively and full to be prepared for their future careers in Modern Europe. We believe that turning the lifelong learning into a major factor for the success and competitiveness of teachers, students and the school as a whole, we will be able to provide through qualitative education – a successful realization of the young people in the job market in the modern technological world.
Through our participation in the Erasmus+ KA1 project, we aim to form highly qualified teachers – leaders, leading the school staff through the challenges of education in the 21st century. As European citizens, our teachers and students will improve their linguistic competences, in order to communicate freely on European level, to obtain valuable experience and to share good practices, so that once introduced to the European educational experience, to integrate it here so as to improve the realities. According to the methodology – we consider using interactive methods, team work and mentoring.
The aims that we have set in the present project can be achieved by sending 14 teachers from our school to be trained in different European educational training courses, so that after their return to be able to share their experience with their colleagues and thus the gained knowledge and skills to be acquired by many teachers. In the long term our teachers, at that time modern European educators, proficient in technologies and using them actively in the classroom in order to improve the quality of their teaching will share their experience through conducting lectures, seminars and workshops for teachers from Bulgaria and other European countries and will carry out open classes at school. Multimedia presentations will be produced – PPT, Prezi and videos, which will be shown live and uploaded on the internet. We intend to popularize the results of the project through the media – articles in national and specialized newspapers and magazines, interviews and taking part in TV and radio programmes. All outcomes will be shared with colleagues from our and other schools, as well as with university students with the purpose of sharing good practices. We will also create an electronic base with educational products – e-lessons, e-tests and e-exercises, along with e- handbooks for teachers. Our task in the long term will be to share our Erasmus+ acquired experience and results with other Bulgarian and European schools, with National Educational authorities, such as The Ministry of Education and the Regional Inspectorate of Education – Sofia and with universities, which train future teachers. We plan the printing of leaflets and bulletins, the recording of CDs and DVDs, the publication of pictures and the conducting of demonstrations. Thus we will disseminate the outcomes and multiplicate the knowledge.
Our project will have a great impact on all the target groups in terms of improving the linguistic, professional and multicultural competences, as well as these in the sphere of technology and innovations, the motivation for work and the quality of the educational process, the opportunities for future realization and career growth, the acceptance and understanding the diversity in social, linguistic and cultural aspect; it will make all the participants – direct and indirect, more tolerant, with broader view on the education, their work and life in our country, Europe and the world.
