PROJECT
FINISHED
The project called Work competence through work experience has been created as the response to students’ needs in connection with constantly evolving labour market.Taking into consideration the future of our students we would like to give them the opportunity to gain work experience in modern companies with truly European standards. Trade, gastronomy, economy are becoming more and more popular or even required in our region, however, constant development of the mentioned sectors calls for an overhaul as well as improvements. Unfortunately, such criteria discredit many local companies as attractive practice places. Therefore, we would like to create the possibility for our students of gaining work competence and improving language skills due to Erasmus plus programme. The aim of the project is the overall development of students’ work competence and foreign –language skills in companies abroad. The project includes 5 weeks of work placement in Ireland for the group of 30 students - year II and III, studying trade, economy as well as gastronomic services.During the work placement students will perform tasks described in the programme which is to be discussed with our partner in Ireland .Our students will have a chance to work in service and trade companies, restaurants and hotels. In their free time they will have the possibility of sightseeing the City of Cork as well as taking part in many cultural events. The work placement will result in development of work competence, language skills improvement with simultaneous understanding of history, culture and customs of Ireland by our students. What is more, the event will build up ambitions and self-esteem among Polish teenagers and raise the prestige of our school.Polish students will be given Europass Mobility documents, the certificate prepared by the work placement partner and vocational training completion. They will be also trained in cultural, linguistic and pedagogical fields. The project will strongly influence the standards of vocational training what should result in well-qualified, attractive employees. Finally, it will be crucial for the mobility of young people within the Union.
