Youth exchange "Protect and Act" will take place in Croatia, the city of Zagreb, from 19th - 28th September 2014. 25 young people will meet and live together for 9 days, learning about the nature protection in Europe, European protected areas, importance of natural resources in the urban areas of Europe, sustainable ways of transport to raise the environmental awareness and sport as a tool of developing healthy lifestyles and behaviors - becoming aware of this socially relevant topics. To go outside, to meet the nature in and around their cities, their countries and in their Europe, to use sustainable ways of transport that combines physical activity and non pollution, to develop healthy lifestyles through practicing sports and be active citizens in all meanings are the objectives of this youth exchange. 25 participants from 5 European countries - Croatia, Greece, Italy, Finland and Czech Republic -1 team leader and 4 youngsters from each country will be placed in an urban environment – the city of Zagreb, that was chosen for this project as it is a great example of an urban community, the capital of a European country, balanced with the nature in and around it, as by its position, Zagreb is lying between a nature park and a river, consisting of different protected areas that all represent valuable natural resources for this urban community – for recreation, sports, researches, a wide range of different activities for the citizens. Through peer-learning, sharing sessions, discussion groups, joint actions, sport outdoor activities, different non-formal education methods, participants will learn and create, share their knowledge, experiences, customs, teach each other about their culture and language, discover new habits and life-styles, make new friendships and actively contribute to the project. The idea of this youth exchange is that the participants during the exchange prepare a project that they will implement back home, as seeing good examples of successful projects in Zagreb and active involvement in different actions during the exchange, will encourage them and qualify them to take the initiative in their communities, their competences and skills will be developed and raised for a successful follow-up - implementation of their own projects. The goal is to give all the participants equally an opportunity to become conscious, aware, active and included in the society, united in their differences, envisioning a sustainable future of Europe. Razmjena mladih "Protect and Act" održati će se u Hrvatskoj u gradu Zagrebu od 19. - tog do 28. - og rujna 2014. 25 mladih okupiti će se i živjeti zajedno 9 dana, učeći o zaštiti prirode i zaštićenim područjima u Europi, važnosti prirodnih resursa u urbanim sredinama Europe, održivim načinim prijevoza za podizanje svijesti o okolišu te sportu kao alatu za razvoj zdravih životnih navika i ponašanja - postajući svjesni ovih socijalno bitnih tematika. Izaći van, upoznati prirodu u i oko svojih gradova, svojih zemalja i Europe u cjelini, koristiti održive načine prijevoza, koji ujedinjuje fizičku aktivnost i ne zagađuju okoliš, razviti zdrave životne navike kroz sport i postati aktivni građani uključeni u društvu, ciljevi su ove razmjene mladih. 25 sudionika iz 5 Europskih zemalja - Hrvatske, Grčke, Italije, Finske i Češke - 1 vođa tima i 4 mladih iz svake zemlje biti će smješteni u urbanoj sredini - gradu Zagrebu, odabranom za ovaj projekt kao odličnom primjeru urbane sredine, glavnog grada jedne Europske zemlje, uravnoteženim s prirodom u i oko njega, obzirom da je smješten između parka prirode i rijeke, te se sastoji od različitih zaštićenih područja koja predstavljaju važan prirodni resurs za ovu urbanu zajednicu - za rekreaciju, sport, istraživanja, cijeli niz različitih aktivnosti za građane. Kroz zajedničko učenje, dijeljenja i rasprave, udružene akcije, sportske aktivnosti u prirodi, različite metode neformalnog učenja, sudionici će učiti i stvarati, dijeliti svoja znanja i iskustva, običaje, kulturu i jezik, otkriti nove običaje i životne stilove, stvarati nova prijateljstva i aktivno doprinijeti projektu. Sudionici će stvoriti i pripremiti svoj projekt koji će implementirati u svojim zajednicama, nakon što su se upoznali s uspješnim primjerima projekata u Zagrebu za vrijeme razmjene i bili aktivno uključeni u različite akcije, što ih priprema i potiče na preuzimanje vlastite inicijative u svojim zajednicama, obzirom da će razviti vještine i znanja potrebna za uspješan nastavak projekta - implementaciju vlastitih projekata u svojim zajednicama. Cilj je svim sudionicima pružiti jednake mogućnosti da budu svjesni, aktivni i uključeni u društvo, ujedinjeni u svojim različitostima, u zajedničkoj viziji održive budućnosti Europe.
