Project KINO The „Westfälisches Forum für Kultur und Bildung e.V.“ has started a new project of further education named KINO (Kreative Impulses for New Orientation) in order to carry on its lively discussion and exchange with the European partners. So KINO is a further facet of the work of this registered association demonstrating the articulate interest in intensive transnational cooperation within the development of educational work. Within the transnational exchange different ideas, concepts and programmes are sifted through, discussed and if necessary adapted that have been devised by various European institutions in order to arouse and support individuals' creativity and initiative within lifelong learning. All partners that are going to be visited have already worked together with the Westfälisches Forum successfully and sustainably in projects, courses and workshops. These creative impulses which we can give each other as well as the personal fostering of our communicative structures are a highly important element for the European process of unification and citizens' participation. The point is the promotion of self-dependance, the development of individuality, the willingness to assume responsibility for oneself as well as for social concerns. When, in the two years to come, the members of the Westfälisches Forum will translate this further education programme into practice, synergetic effects can be achieved which will sustainably stimulate our efforts in Germany and in Europe. Our intention is to take advantage of the experiences of the mutual visits in order to devise future concepts of courses and workshops in various institutions. Some of the partners involved already share common experiences concerning workshops; so the plan is further to develop transnational projects that include this European expertise. As well the partners are jointly planning to put in an application for a strategic partnership.
