Youth Network MaMa and the National Youth Council of Slovenia will cooperate on the project ?The future of EU and young people? to raise awareness amongst young people about the highest level of decision-makers, the Slovenian EU Commissioner and the Prime Minister, and will bring them together in a discussion on three issues of youth policies: ensuring equal opportunities for young people and their autonomy, employment in entrepreneurship with an emphasis on green economy and participation of the young in society. To ensure greater social inclusion of excluded groups and to facilitate dialogue between decision-makers and the broadest possible group of young people, it is crucial to include different groups of young people with fewer opportunities and young people with special needs into the whole process. There is a strong emphasis on communication with the public and making the young and the importance of the youth sector into the focal point of the European Youth Week. Only with a clear message that the support of policy makers is needed for creating a better future for young people, that they are worthy of existence on the political agenda and that they are the future of this country, we will make sure that the massage will be clearly communicated to the public. Young people need the opportunity not only to be heard but also to be taken into account, and the promises of policy makers should not be just words on a piece paper but they must be implemented as soon as possible.
