Basic needs of Professional High School of tourism are related to its ability to meet the rapid changes in education, teaching and training and the requirements of the labor market, which are the result of structural factors such as globalization, technological change, and aging of the population.As a social phenomenon education is associating in one whole two social groups - teachers and students. The quality of their communication depends not only on the future development of the individual, but also on the development of individual country, the EU and even the whole world.Therefore needs of this project’s realization arise from the specific needs of two groups of users – one, the group of the teachers and the other, the group of the students.One of the main problems in education in general and particularly in VET is to motivate students to absorb the learning material. Traditional means of teaching are ineffective, new approaches are needed. Methodological and didactic principles of e-learning can make students active participants in the learning process. This is the reason why this project is aimed at teachers. Basic needs of students from the Professional High School of tourism are related to their ability to meet the dynamic and increasing requirements of the labor market. Their knowledge, skills and competences have to be comparable to those in European countries and have European quality. This is the reason why this project is aimed at students.Looking for opportunities to meet the growing needs of the European dimension of vocational education in the Professional High School of tourism and leading an active correspondence with many potential partners, we stopped at the proposal of "WBS TRANINING AG" – Dresden, Germany for providing and conducting practical training for students in a hotel and a restaurant and E- learning for teachers: “Training in a virtual classroom”. They provided us with programs that satisfy our requirements. In this way we became partners.The main goal for teachers is to acquire skills of planning and using the methodological and didactic principles of e-learning for organizing the learning process, improving the process of testing and evaluation and integration of e-learning in the school, as one of the major modern models of education. E-learning will increase students' motivation for learning, will spark their creative search of academic and professional information.The main goal for students is to improve their professional competence. By implementing their internship in an EU country, they will acquire quality standards in the tourist services in European countries, which will make them competitive in the labor market. Improvement of the students’ language and communication skills in a multicultural environment, will motivate them to learn other languages and to adapt to other cultures. This will enhance their negotiation skills, tact and patience with guests and staff. Awareness of modern trends in tourism, will enhance their entrepreneurial attitudes. The knowledge acquired and assimilated standards for labor discipline, control and evaluation on the workplace in a EU country will make students responsible executors of tasks and creative employees in solving problems. There are three main activity under the project: One mobility for teachers: E- learning: "Training in a virtual classroom" – 5 days, 10 teachers; Two mobilities for students - "Internship Program - Hospitality and Catering" -12 days, which will be implemented with two groups of students. In each group will take part 20 students and 2 accompanying persons. The practice will take place in two stages: March-April and July. Students will work in hotels and restaurants, and will have mentors from the host organization who will assist and evaluate their activities.Our expectation of the project’s impact directly corresponds to needs of the organization and objectives of the project. For teachers it is improving the quality of VET, integration of e-learning in the educational process, and through this, raising students' motivation towards personal and professional development. The impact on students is associated with improving the quality of their professional skills and competitiveness on the labor market, improving their foreign language and communicative skills. Impact on the organization: Implementation of this project will be a step towards the modernization of the Professional High School of tourism in accordance with the development strategy of the school until 2020. The project will upgrade the modern management of the educational process. According to the EU directives to standardize the quality of VET, the school will absorb European standards in VET, which will enhance its image and it will become the preferred partner by employers in the tourist industry and by European organizations in the field of VET.
