Young people in an effort to actively participate in issues relevant to their group age, decided to suggest the creation of a partnership with the participation of young people from different social groups making use of structured dialogue. Their goal was to create a policy planning forum for the Sensitization of Young People in prevention of drug abuse, as well as the shaping of proposals emphasizing the right to treatment of all drug addicted individuals, underlining the need for respect of basic human rights like access to health, education and training, and employment. Main objective is to emphasize the size of the problem, and start a dialogue, give food for thought, launce initiatives aiming at the best possible solution of the problem of drug abuse in general. The aforementioned actions are related with the assurance and protection of basic human rights to health, education and employment.Through the structured dialogue, the aim of this particular plan is to help the young people have a discussion and develop models as well as a strategic plan for the prevention of drug use. This can only be realized by the promotion and development of safe and healthy communities which emphasize the following: a) familiarization of the young people with the prevention and treatment policies in the field of drug addiction.b) sensitization of the youth populations in order to investigate their needs, deficiencies and good practices in the aforementioned fields.c) promotion of dialogue and policy planning in the aforementioned fields d) cooperation with the local communities for the necessity and potential application of such projects.e) sensitization of the youth populations through the publication of the project and other relevant methods.f) networking on a national and European level aiming at the promotion of prevention and treatment, as well as policies that promote the sensitization of young people on issues relating to drug addiction and the right to treatment.g) familiarization of the young people through interaction with each other, dialogue and cooperation in order to negotiate policy issues that concern them.It is expected that this structured dialogue will have multiple benefits for participants most important of which are that they will embrace the principles of freedom, democracy, respect for human rights, as well as the fundamental freedoms and the rule of law. Participants will become European citizens actively involved in decision making, taking on initiatives and submitting original proposals that will influence policy planning in the field. They will actively involved in policy making and in particular policies about the vulnerable social groups in the margin of European agenda. They will try to change their reality and the problems they face. The structured dialogue will take place in Greece for 18 months, with the participation of 62 young people from Croatia, Romania, Polonia and of course from Greece.
