About Students of E.K. Sindou
The jobs which contribute to environmental protection and sustainable development in general, in Europe called "green jobs." Modern professional guidance will give to them impetus and opportunities for our students to engage with contemporary practitioners, with huge future growth prospects in a country that may be lagging behind in their development, but outperforms the conditions (sun, wind, water etc) .
Students that will participate to this program are practicing at EK Sindou are studying at EPAL Sindou and EPAL Chalastras areas with serious problems of unemployment (many factories are closed) degradation and environmental. To operate a business in their area should link their specialties with green growth . Besides, it is difficult to base a business on their parents , because they are mostly laborers or farmers , immigrants without steady work . The two complexes of EK the largest percentage of students are immigrants and a smaller but growing unemployed youths who returned to school to " learn the art ."
We aim to improve our knowledges and learn new skills about sustainable development, training about green jobs culture of professional interests, awareness of environmental issues and to improve personal abilities and skills.
Stockholm haw been selected as city of reception and it is known that Swedish citizens are very sensitized about practical green sustainable development. At Stockholm took place the first conference of UNO about environment in 1972. Also Stockholm is the first city that took the price of green capital 2010.
This program will be placed in April of 2015 and it will last two weeks . 10 students will participate from EPAL Sindou and 10 students from EPAL Chalastras .
Organization Alfombra Rosa has been collected for both activities to be the host Institution, because it has experience about organizing such educational programs. Also it has cooperation with Educational organizations. Alfombra Rosa has successfully manage to create training programs about students for two weeks and about teachers for 1 week, related to the objectives of the projects.
European union has been concentrated on Green Jobs, in recent years, encouraging national and local authorities and citizens to take initiative about environmental protection. So many occupations are created. According to the results of CEDEFOP, the most popular and well paid professions in 2010, didn’t exist in 2004.
About Teachers of EK Sindou
The aim of Technical Training is the transmission of technical and professional Knowledge’s and to improve personal abilities and skills. The purpose of E.K. is the integrated and the specialized laboratory education for students who study at EPAL & IEK. Laboratories are fully organized and all students have the correct technical and laboratory education, so when they will graduate they will be able to find a job successfully.
Although laboratories are well organized and occupied, practice of students its not the same if they used to practice in real conditions of work. The New Technological school aims to improve the practice education in real condition of work the 4th year of attendance.
A training program Erasmus + on the internship will help teachers specialties EK to obtain knowledge and experiences around the whole process to be ready for the start of the "apprenticeship" in the next few years. The primary purpose of mobility is the way of coordination between teachers-students-business, and the monitoring and evaluation of the internship of students.
This plan will offer teachers the ability to learn new teaching models and processes which are used about education for young and unemployment people between 18-23 years old at workplaces.
Teachers will be trained about the Swedish model of practicing in Technical Education in Stockholm December of 2014. They will take part 8 teachers from EK Sindou and 7 from EK Chalastras.
Methodological training for both activities will be implemented through seminars, briefings, visits to workplaces, Technical Schools, in laboratories, industries, organizations and universities.
