We are a vocational school in Tarnobrzeg, Poland. In our first Erasmus+ project we are going to send 20 students to Rimini to do internships there. The students are going to do the internships in the building sector as they are the students of a technical building class.The aim of the internships is to improve practical abilities of the students connected with building through work in high standard building companies. It will help them gain specific technical abilities used abroad and compare them to those which they already know. What is more, the direct contact with an employer and coworkers and taking part in everyday situations will let the students verify their language skills and suply them with new communication tools.According to the vocational curriculum internships are 4 weeks long. The students will have 3 weeks of internships in Rimini, Italy and 1 week in Poland. In this way they will be able to work in a variety of high standard building companies.The mobilities are planned as two rounds (September - 2016 and May-June - 2017). We have designed a project which is to help the participants to raise their professional and language abilities, to facilitate their individual development and to increase their employment opportunities. The other aims are also making the vocational education more attractive, making future emploees more mobile and more sensitive to cultural differences.Having internships abroad will result in gaining new, unique practical and interpersonal skills, getting to know the culture and style of living and working of Italians. The Rimini region is a very good base for educating young people due to a great deal of tourism which in turn creates demand for building services.The students will be able to gain experience through cooperation with professionals in certain fields. What is more, they will also have the opportunity to work with materials and equipment different from those which they know from their country.What they achieve through the internships will raise their self-assessment and personal development.The internships will make our school more attractive as an educational institution and it will raise the significance of vocational education which in turn will make more young people get interested in the education.
