„ The Internship of a Modern European Project “ includes eight weeks of work experience in Germany, learning of vocational German as well as cultural program. The project will be attended by 72 students from the technical college. The students will be represented by two profiles of education: information technology and digital techniques of graphic processes.
The project will raise the professional and language skills of students. It will contribute to their personal development, increase motivation to learn, and also it will make them socially active. Daily contact with German will make students more communicative in that language, and thus it will increase their motivation to learn it.. Since the internship of vocational training will be connected with the practice in various German plants, students will be able to connect the world of science with the world of practice, learning at the same time the German labor market realities. This experience will broaden their horizons and career prospects. Skills gained during the internship will be useful in the course of further education, work practice, or when applying for a job. Also, the students will participate in a training of social competence. Thanks to theme trips which will be organized in the region and to the German capital students will find out about this country and its peculiarities. The project also aims to teach students a greater openness to foreign cultures and to open them for Europe and to motivate them for further education.
The project will consist of several stages:
1. Recruitment of participants in ZSP 5 - September 2015, January 2016, September 2016, January 2017.
Recruitment will proceed in an open and transparent manner. Interested students are invited to apply on a specially prepared form containing personal data, consent to the processing of personal data, a written consent of a legal guardian to participate in the project. Recruitment will follow the policy of equal opportunities without discrimination on grounds of sex, equal opportunities for disadvantaged people and low living standards.
2. Meeting the project partners - September 2015, September 2016.
During the meetings there will be signed an agreement on the program coursework. There will be established the internship program, plans of trips, methods of validation and recognition of the project effects.
3. Meeting with parents of students or their legal guardians with project coordinators -September2015, February 2016, September 2016, January 2017.
4. Pedagogical, cultural and linguistic preparation – October-November 2015, March-April 2016, October-November 2016, February-March 2017.
German language classes will be conducted for two groups: a group of graphic designers and a group of IT students.
All the students will have 10 extra hours of German language and 3 hours of cultural preparation . Before leaving, the students will have pedagogical training.
5. The internship-December 2015, May 2016, December 2016, April 2017.
Every time for a two-week internship there will leave two groups (one group of 8 people and one group of 10 people), one group of graphic designers and one group of IT students.
The acquired knowledge and experience will increase the chances of the project participants at the labor market, it will motivate them to better learning and it will increase the level of their language skills. Also, the project will contribute to the upgrading of the school as an educational institution.
