The aims of the project: raising the students’ level of key competence and skills in the scope of their usefulness on the job market through increasing their educational mobility; improving language competence in everyday communication and professional areas; promoting language diversity of UE and cultural awareness.The project is addressed to: the students of the profiles electrician and mechatronic.The apprenticeship will take place:1st round 32 participants (16 Ireland/16 Germany) 6.03.2017-31.03.2017 2nd round 32 participants (16 Ireland/16 Germany) 26.02.2018-23.03.2018In total – 64 students. Each group will be accompanied by 2 teachers simultaneously, who will be in charge of daily care and proper realization of the apprenticeship on the spot.Recruitment will take place according to some set criteria taking into consideration the rule of the students’ equal access to the project and preventing social exclusion.The place of the apprenticeship: Mallow-Ireland and Schkeuditz- Germany.Description of activities:-choosing the partners of the programme, meeting them, agreeing on the scope of the apprenticeship, drawing up contracts and agreements before the mobility period,- recruitment: Oct 1st - Nov 30th 2017 and 2018,-Nov/Dec - information meeting for the students and parents ( results of the recruitment, possibility of appeal, details of the schedule preparing the students for the mobility,- Dec/Jan/Feb 2017 and 2018 - language preparation (training course in communicative and vocational language), cultural preparation (including habits, culture with elements of history and geography of Ireland/Germany), psychological preparation (focusing on cultural diversity) and individual meetings of the school psychologist with the students directed at emotional maturity.-Feb/Mar 2017 and 2018 - the apprenticeship in Mallow-Ireland and Schkeuditz- Germany; places for electricians: Gr-Workshops na Gut Wehlitz; Ir-PC Maestro, Kellehers Expert, Cashconnectors, Power Electrical, McSherry Electrical, David Bradlay Electrical; for mechatronics: Gr-Workshops na Gut Wehlitz,Hydraulik Markranstädt gr Nussbaum; Ir-Noel Deasy Cars Ltd, Mallow Road Motors, JDM Garage, GT Evolution-realization of the apprenticeship will be systematically monitored (the quality and conformity to the schedule and aims) by the teachers from TE and the training mentors from VBM/YIT,- after completing the mobility – organizing a conference summarizing the realization of the project with the focus on the achieved results,All the activities in the project will be subject to evaluation which will consist of 3 stages: evaluation before, during and after completing the apprenticeship.Our partners VBM (Schkeuditz, Germany) and YIT (Mallow, Ireland) are the companies with plenty of experience in organizing apprenticeships for students from UE. Our partners care about high quality of vocational apprenticeship and safety of the participants. They also cooperate with the number of employers who provide places for apprenticeships.The main results of the project expected by TE:1) Gaining vocational experience by the participants in a foreign European country.The participants of the apprenticeships, depending on their educational profile will gain the following skills:Technician-electrician: the skills in installation of controlling systems of electrical machines and devices, construction and operating electrical devices.Technician mechatronic: the skills in installation of electrical, electropneumatic and pneumatic controlling systems, mechatronic systems, construction and operating the devices as well as electropneumatic and pneumatic sub-assemby2) Raising language and cultural competence.The students will broaden their knowledge of vocational terminology in English and German. They will also have the chance to verify their theoretical knowledge from the lessons at school and transfer it into practical usage during real vocational activities.Also, the participants will improve their language skills in everyday communication, they will get to know the culture and traditions of a foreign country, they will become open to cultural and national diversity of European societies, they will learn how to be self-reliant in a new environment.The benefits for the school from taking part in the project: raising the competitiveness and authority in the local environment, broadening educational offer in gaining the vocational experience abroad, acquiring new international contacts, presence in multicultural world. The results of the project will be disseminated (by both TE and its partners) through: articles in local press, Internet publications, information meetings, leaflets and a conference after completing the project. This activity will be addressed to: the students of TE and their parents, potential candidates to TE and their parents, local/regional employers, local authorities and secondary schools’ headmasters.
