Project “Practical skills – greater prospects. European standards in vocational education of Łomża, Siemiatycze and Zambrów provinces” involves some issues which require working out in Vocational Schools running by Assotiation of Supporting of Education and Jobs Market. Currently, our students don’t have chances of using the most recent technologies while doing their work practice. It confines their skills and causes lack of competitiveness in the local jobs market. However, it might change if our students get the opportunity to practise and improve their skills in the foreign organization as well as take part in a German language course. A pedagogic and cultural groundwork and taking part in summing-up conferences would be helpful, too. The aim of the project is increasing the possibility of getting jobs as hairdressers and car mechanics by the students of the Vocational Schools of Łomża, Siemiatycze and Zambrów. It could be possible if they practise in the foreign Centre of Vocational Education. Three-week-practice in Germany will strengthen their local and European stature as jobs market participants. We believe this practice might also be instrumental in pursuing the established goals. The project is a response to real requirements of jobs market and poor practical skills of our school-leavers.56 students – hairdressers and car mechanics - of Vocational Schools of Łomża, Siemiatycze and Zambrów will take part in the project. They will acquire work experience according to international standards. The students will also gain other skills, highly valued by their future employers, such as more fluent language competence and communication skills, self-confidence and work motivation. They will learn how to fill in some forms, e.g. job applications – Europass cv and Europass mobility.Thank to opportunities given by Erasmus+ Programme, Assotiation of Support of Education and Jobs Market is going to get hold of international co-operation with the German organization and put foreign educational mobilities and their ways of working in developing plans of our vocational schools.
