Practice Makes Perfect!

Nowadays, the entrepreneurial education of young people is highly necessary especially for new venture creation. The development of new small businesses, which most of the times are accompanied by an entrepreneurial spirit, does not only empower the economic situation through the creation of new jobs, but it also provides a pathway for inclusion into the labour market those, who are on a risk of unemployment. Moreover, in the current economic environment, entrepreneurship constitutes the best opportunity for many unemployed citizens to recover by starting a business, thus being self-employed. Entrepreneurial experiences – such as making mistakes, trying a concept, developing ideas, actually building, managing, and growing organizations, raising real funds, failing, trying again, building intellectual capital and managing it, and translating intellectual value into economic and social value – should be a part of education of young people and presented as considerable option for life. The project “Practice Makes Perfect” hosted in Zawoja, near Krakow, in Poland in 26 October-1 November 2015 involved groups of 28 participants from: Poland, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Romania, Estonia, Bulgaria, Slovakia. They were youth workers and heads of youth organisations who shared experiences and learned on how to employ entrepreneurial learning into their youth work and empowerment of young people they are working with into the labour market. The paramount aim of this projects was to apply entrepreneurship activities by using non-formal methods to practice entrepreneurship in such a way that youth workers could provide young people with a range of potentials on entrepreneurship! The objectives - Practice to practice entrepreneurship through workshops and practical exercises - To understand changing and dynamic nature of entrepreneurship. - To empower job seekers to become self employed. -To develop creative and entrepreneurial spirit of young people. - To acquire skills and specific knowledge using non-formal education by developing of human personality and developing set of skills necessary for entrepreneurs. -To promote practical methods in approaching entrepreneurship education. -To promote and develop innovative ideas and share good practices.
