Start date: Mar 1, 2013,
Many challenges exist in European societies which are subject to societal negotiation processes and result in societal conflicts and in diverse forms of violence such as ethnical tensions, structural discrimination of minorities and religious value-based conflicts.Additionally, in Eastern Europe and the Caucasus territorial conflicts can be found resulting in ethnical tensions between the conflicting populations and in many cases in segregation from each other..Hence, the promoters will implement a youth exchange that allows its participants to analyse societal conflicts and to reflect on grass-root activities led by young people to lower existing tensions and to approach these conflicts with peaceful means. The main themes of the youth exchange “Practical Tools for Nonviolent Community Actions” are anti-discrimination and art and culture.
