Pracowitość i pokora to droga do sukcesu. Industriousness and humility is the way to success.

In frameworks of this poject we plan to organize 4 week placements for two 16-students groups in Limassol ( April 2017 & spring 2018) and one 16-students group in Mellieha (September 2017). Each group will be accompanied by two tutors. Apprentices are students representing hotel management and tourism, technicians of nourishment & catering, technicians of food processing and cooks. They have already gained considerable experience in hospitality in last two or three years. Their practical trainings were performed in various Polish hotels of different standards. Abroad they will work in luxurious conditions and acquait with various posts starting from reception, restaurants, pubs, kitchen, hotel sports centres, and finaly preparing conferences, tourists events connected with organization of trips and cruises.NEEDS: language proficiency of trainees, comprehensive professional and social development.RESULTS: all-round development of the personality associated with the expansion of their existing skills and knowledge of the foodservice industry and hospitality, but also improvement of its quality.MAIN AIMS, EXPECTATIONS AND LONG TERM RESULTS of internships are:-Professional competences and language skills. Trainees will be considerably better skilled in their profession and foreign languages, including knowledge of professional vocabulary. They will be able to use them every day. The chefs will be able to distribute not only tastes of regional food but also Mediterranean cuisine.- Mobility of participants of internships who need to be aware that work on different workstations is necessary and developing professional competences. -Contacts with foreigners will make them see the world by the Europeans eyes. After 4-ch weeks they will return to the country as mature people: creative, enterprising and active, those who will not be afraid of the risks and make their own decisions.-Awareness of their skills and values. They will know what they want to do in their life. In the future, these young people may themselves decide to open their own company providing hospitality or gastronomy services, or occupy senior positions in companies in the region, the country or abroad, where they will take up work. Such opportunities for them are very large.- Knowledge of the culture, history, traditions and customs of Cyprus and Malta.- Tolerance, in the broad sense of the word, as in the realities of contemporary events in Europe and the world it is a very important part of education.-Invaluable for young people will also be a better understanding of the local people and their customs, which is provided for under an organized before departure a 50-hour pedagogical and cultural and language (English, Greek and Maltese) courses, and during trips in their free time.- Long-term benefits of this project also relate to changes associated with constant quality enhancement of services provided by the Poles and showing that they are reliable and honest employees.We plan constant monitoring of participants of internships by carers, directors and their foreign partners. Hotel managers assured us that their highly qualified staff will endeavor to how best train our trainees. They will also try to adjust the scope of their work to interests of students, the school programme as well as practical and linguistic possiblities of individuals.After the internship, students will write reports and fill in prepared for them anonymous questionnaires. They will also participate together with their teachers in action of dissemination of the project on the school grounds and beyond, including online. Our partners will also be asked to enter information about these practices within the Erasmus Programme+ in the local press, on facebook and other portals.Strengthening ties with Cypriots and Maltese will facilitate social events and informal meetings that can turn into a long-lasting friendships. Perhaps some participants will want someday to go back and live there permanently.The trainiees will receive certificates of participation in educational, cultural and linguistic courses, certificates of participation in internships abroad, and also confirmed by the Europass Mobility certificates from hotels and from school and references. Evaluation and verification of skills acquired will be conducted by managers and supervisors in Malta/Cyprus, English language teachers and professionals and employers.In the preparation and running of the project will take part:- Polish party: the school dyrector, accountant, coordinator and teachers who will conduct pedagogical, cultural and linguistic courses, and caregivers of groups.- foreign partners: direct caregivers and managers responsible for project implementation, Director Savva from "Elias Beach" Hotel (chain of "Kanika" Hotels) and Director Schembri from HOT&R Consulting.
