Zespół Szkół w Gromniku has created the project entitled "Broadening the prospects with Erasmus Plus" within the confines of the action KA1 - Educational Mobility. The project will last for 24 months, (from 01.09.2014 to 31.08.2014). The training group will consist of 13 participants: 4 language teachers, 8 general education teachers and the headmaster. The teachers represent the following subjects: history, social studies, biology, chemistry, science, Maths, art, Physical Education, Polish, English and German. The foreign language teachers will take part in the methodology and language courses. The general education teachers will attend the training courses referring to teaching through CLIL approach. The four of them will firstly participate in the language course, which will prepare them for taking part in the methodological courses. One person will attend the training course for principals. The main aims of the project are: - raising the language skills, - pursuing multilingualism, - preparation for teaching various subjects with the elements of English language through CLIL approach, - acquainting with the newest methods and techniques of teaching English and German languages, - obtainment of new ways of motivating students, - development of interesting strategies of conducting lessons, - development of creativity and innovation, - better understanding of students' behaviours, - gaining the knowledge of geography, history, culture, art, politics and social problems of the given country, - improvement of co - operational skills, - broadening the prospects and world views, - learning tolerance, openness to foreign cultures and nations, - acquainting with various educational systems, - improvement of managements skills, - exchange of experiences with teachers and principals from other European countries, - paying more attention to chances which are given through the educational mobility and broadening this idea among students and educationalists, - propagating the idea of life - long learning. The realization of the project will include the actions referring to the preparation, conducting and evaluation. These actions contain: 1. The choice of the project coordinator. 2. The introduction of Erasmus Plus programme and its offer during the teachers' meeting. 3. The registration of our school in ECAS and URF Database. 4. The preparation of the European Plan of School Development. 5. The presentation of training offer by the project coordinator. 6. Filling in the application form. 7. Enclosing the necessary documentation. 8. Sending the application to the National Agency. 9. Entering the participants for the particular training courses. 10. Filling in the on-line tests, which will allow the organizer of the courses to qualify the participants according to their language level. 11. Using the forum for the Erasmus Plus project participants before the beginning of the course. 12. Individual and group preparation for the participants on account of their language and cultural knowledge. 13. Logistic actions - the journey, buying tickets and insurance policy, accommodation and food. 14. Providing the participants with the informational materials including the details of the journey, timetable of courses, accommodation, cultural programme and the organizer's requirements. 15. Providing the participants with phone numbers and addresses of people and institutions, which can help in the case of emergency. 16. The constant contact with the participants and the organizers of the courses. 17. Monitoring the courses. 18. Creating the final report. 19. Conducting the evaluation of the mobility programme. 20. The implementation of the gained knowledge and skills in different respects. The participation in the project will bring many benefits for its participants, the school and the local society. The teachers will improve their professional competencies, which will have an influence on the students' motivation, involvement and results. The implementation of the elements of English language on different subjects will increase the attractiveness and the educational offer of our school. Because of that, the prestige of our school in local society will be increased. Finally, the school will gain the principal trained according to the newest standards of the educational management. Thanks to the international contacts among the participants, the cooperation between our and foreign schools may be established. This will also have an influence on the rise of the European dimension of our school. The actions mentioned above will contribute to the realization of the international, long - term projects, which will also involve the local society. It will also increase the educational and professional mobility, which is very important in nowadays world. The open - minded youth, willing to take up new challenges, has more opportunities to find a job on the European labour market.
